Shahrukh's Don 2 fetched Rs 30 crore from TV rights?

Shahrukh Khan's next movie Don 2: The Chase Continues, which is scheduled to release on December 23, has reportedly, fetched whopping amount of money from its Television rights. If we are to go with the latest reports, the Zee Network has acquired the satellite rights of the action thriller for Rs 30 crore.

Sources claim that a meeting was held between producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and the head honchos of the Zee Network on Wednesday night. Shahrukh Khan was the catalyst for the sale between the two parties. Sources further say that the deal was sealed for approximately Rs 30 crore.

However, Don 2: The Chase Continues is a sequel to the 2006 blockbuster movie Don: The Chase Begins Again. The film stars Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Kunal Kapoor, Om Puri and Boman Irani in the leads. It is one of the most expected movies of the year and its hype had led to lot of competition for its TV rights.
