Vidya Balan hospitalised due to low RBC count

Actress Vidya Balan was reportedly rushed to Lilavati Hospital on Dussehra after she complained of dizziness on the sets of the movie The Dirty Picture. According to reports, the Bollywood star is undergoing treatment for low hemoglobin (RBC count) level. The doctors have reportedly advised her to take rest for some time. So she is not attending shooting of The Dirty Picture at least for a week.

Sources claim that Vidya Balan, who is playing sex siren Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, has been taking her role very seriously and doing constant shoots with stress, which made her feel dizzy and restless. The stars' parents, who had taken her to the hospital about ten days back, were advised by the doctor for immediate hospitalisation.

Sources further say that Vidya Balan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and was kept under observation for three days. The doctors confirmed that her hemoglobin level was too low after she underwent several tests. Now, the actress has reportedly been discharged from the hospital, but the doctors have instructed her to rest for the next week.

However, a source in the Lilavati Hospital has confirmed Vidya Balan's hospitalisation. “Vidya was admitted to Lilavati. Her test results indicated that she had a low RBC count and was undergoing treatment for it," the Mumbai Mirror quotes a doctor from the hospital as saying.
