A film needs good publicity for good opening, but sadly, only big films with big actors enjoy this privilege. The makers of Yeh Saali Zindagi seem to know that the only way for the film to stay in the news is by resorting to bad publicity.
Except for Irrfan Khan, all the other lead actors in Yeh Saali Zindagi like Arunoday Singh, Chitrangada Singh and Aditi Rao Hydari are new in the film industry. So, getting good publicity has become an uphill climb. Knowing the weakness, the makers of the film talk more about the number of kisses it has than its story.
Arunoday Singh even kissed a student of Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, Pune, during the promotion of the film. The incident left the college authorities fuming, saying that it was done just to gain publicity.
The makers of the film may argue that they are not resorting to cheap publicity but the fact is that the 'kiss controversy" has earned lots of publicity for the film. What do you say?
