Deepika Padukone, Emraan Hashmi in Karan Johar's next?

Not too long ago, Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor offered Kareena Kapoor a movie opposite Emraan Hashmi, which Kareena politely declined by saying she does not have dates. However, some people believe that she was not too keen to work with the serial kisser. So, Karan and Ekta approached Deepika Padukone for the same role.

According to a website, initially Deepika Padukone was not sure to work opposite Emraan Hashmi as she is working with all the top stars of the film industry like Shahrukh in Chennai Express, Ranbir Kapoor in Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani, Saif Ali Khan in Cocktail and Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan. But when Deepika heard that the Box-Office collections of Jannat 2 was Rs 10 crore and that too on the very first day, she changed her mind. After Jannat 2's success, Deepika got fully convinced about the fact that Emraan Hashmi is a rising star and said yes to the movie.
