Actress Deepika Padukone entered Bollywood and became one among the most popular actresses with Shahrukh Khan's Blockbuster movie Om Shanti Om. After her debut film, Kannada lass has acted in several Hindi films, but none of them has got her such big break. Now, Dips is reportedly all set to star alongside SRK again in Rohit Shetty's much-hyped movie Chennai Express.
Names of Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have been doing rounds for Chennai Express, ever since Rohit Shetty announced it. But a couple of months ago, the director has slammed the reports saying that he had not approached any of them for the film. A fresh news is that Dips has been finalised for it. "Deepika is part of Chennai Express. She has been finalised," PTI quotes sources from its production team as saying.
Chennai Express revolves around the story of a man (Shahrukh Khan), who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens during the journey forms the movie. Interestingly, this is for the first time that Shetty would be working without his close buddy Ajay Devgn, with whom he has done eight films. It is for the first time that he would be teaming up with Shahrukh and Deepika. This film will go on floors from the end of September and would release in mid of 2013.
