The
Hindi
remake
of
Lingusamy’s
Vettai
is
creating
a
lot
of
buzz
over
its
cast.
The
movie
made
the
headlines
after
Shahid
Kapoor
was
roped
in
for
the
male
lead
played
by
Arya
in
the
original.
Now,
the
grapevine
is
abuzz
that
popular
South
Indian
actress
Ileana
D'Cruz
is
signed
for
the
heroine's
role
in
the
film.
Earlier,
it
was
rumoured
that
actress
Amala
Paul
was
being
considered
for
the
female
lead
in
the
Hindi
version
of
Vettai.
But
now,
sources
claim
that
Ileana
has
emerged
as
one
of
the
frontrunners.
The
industry
insiders
say
that
a
few
days
ago,
the
Nanban
heroine
has
been
approached
for
the
role
and
she
has
also
expressed
her
interest
to
work
with
Shahid
Kapoor.
Currently,
Ileana
D'Cruz
is
busy
shooting
with
Ravi
Teja
for
director
Puri
Jagannadh's
upcoming
Telugu
film
in
Bangkok.
She
will
be
back
in
India
in
the
third
week
of
April.
A
source
from
the
production
team
says
that
the
makers
of
the
Vettai
remake
have
approached
her,
but
she
will
give
her
consent
for
the
film
only
after
she
has
her
round
of
discussions.
However,
Ileana
D'Cruz
is
entering
Bollywood
with
the
movie
Barfee
in
which
she
will
work
with
Ranbir
Kapoor
and
Priyanka
Chopra.
If
she
signs
the
Vettai
remake,
then
it
will
be
her
second
film
in
Hindi,
which
will
also
have
two
heroines.
It
should
be
seen
whether
she
will
accept
the
film
or
not.
