Vidya's Kahaani climax is a riff off from Taking Lives?

All these days, Vidya Balan and Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani was in news for all good reasons. The latest we hear about it is very shocking. Yes! The climax of the film, which has been raved by everyone, has reportedly been riffed off from Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke's 2004 psychological thriller titled Taking Lives.

According to an English daily, a netizen has uploaded a video titled The Real Kahaani Revealed that compares the climax of Kahaani and Taking Lives. The footage also carries a tagline saying: "Creative Masturbation presents the Real Kahaani after Taking Lives!!!!!!" Though the story of both Kahaani and Taking Lives are different, one can see similarities in the ending of both the movies.

The climax of Taking Lives shows heavily pregnant Jolie sitting alone in her house when a serial killer attacks her and stabs her in her pregnant belly with a pair of scissors. But she appears to be unharmed as she removes a prosthetic pregnant belly. Meanwhile, she quickly stabs him with the same pair of scissors and kills. Later, she says that she was waiting for that moment from past seven months.

Vidya Balan is also heavily pregnant in Kahaani and she is in search of Indraneil Sengupta. In the climax, she gets into an altercation with Indraneil. She stabs Indraneil with her hairpin, when she gets pushed around by him. She removes her prosthetic pregnant belly as Indraneil lies dead on the ground.

However, director Sujoy Ghosh admits that he has heard the name of the movie, but he has neither watched this film nor the video.
