When Kajol said no to Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardar

Ajay Devgn and his wife Kajol worked together in Toonpur Ka Super Hero in 2010. But the film failed to impress the audience. However, Son Of Sardar director Ashwini Dhir was still keen to sign Kajol opposite Ajay Devgn in his movie. But Kajol turned down the offer and suggested Sonakshi Sinha's name instead for Son Of Sardar.

A source told a leading daily, "Ashwini had sketched the character keeping Kajol in mind, as he thought that she would best fit the role opposite Ajay. He narrated the story to Kajol and was very insistent about having her on board."

The source further added, "Kajol declined the project saying she had responsibilities towards her home and children. She said she didn't want to take the film at this point of time. It was Kajol who suggested Sonakshi's name for the lead. Ashwini agreed with her and felt that that Sonakshi would be a suitable replacement."

Well, we agree with Kajol. After all, Ajay and Kajol's pair has not done any wonders on screen in the past!
