Kareena beats Katrina, bags Karan Johar-Eka Kapoor's film

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who is considered as the No. 1 Bollywood star, has reportedly beaten Katrina Kaif. It was reported earlier that the two top heroines were in a race for Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's upcoming movie. Now, sources say that Bebo has finally bagged the plum role in the much-hyped project.

It was reported earlier that Karan Johar was planning to rope in Kareena Kapoor as the leading lady for the ambitious project, while Ekta Kapoor opted for Katrina Kaif. But finally, it was Bebo, who is said to have won the battle. "Kareena has bagged a very big role in this film. Currently, she is Karan's favourite. He was very happy with her performance in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu," the Mumbai Mirror quotes a source as saying.

It is said that Kareena Kapoor was making desperate attempts to get the female lead in Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's untitled movie. Bebo is said to have rejected two major projects like Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express and Milan Luthria's Once upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 for this project.

However, Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor are planning to finish the casting of the film by the end of this month. "Both Balaji and Dharma are considering Emraan Hashmi for the male lead. In fact, Emraan has recently signed his first Dharma production to be directed by Rensil D'Silva," the MM quotes the source as saying further.
