Bollywood's
late
superstar
Rajesh
Khanna's
iconic
bungalow
'Aashirwad'
in
Mumbai,
may
reportedly
be
converted
into
a
museum
very
soon,
but
many
of
us
do
not
know
the
bungalow's
past.
It
is
also
believed
that
Khanna's
house
was
haunted,
but
the
residence
also
has
a
past
related
to
the
name
'Dimple'.
Well,
do
not
let
your
imaginations
fly
too
high
since
we
are
definitely
not
talking
about
Khanna's
wife
Dimple
Kapadia
in
particular.
Reports
say
that
Rajesh
Khanna
had
purchased
the
Cartar
Road
bungalow
from
the
yesteryear
actor
Rajendra
Kumar,
during
the
60s.
Interestingly,
Rajendra
Kumar,
back
then
had
named
the
bungalow
after
his
daughter
Dimple.
Rajendra
Kumar
left
the
bungalow
and
shifted
to
his
new
house
Pali
Hill,
that
was
again
named
'Dimple'.
Interestingly,
Rajesh
Khanna,
who
was
a
bachelor
back
then,
wanted
to
name
his
new
Cartar
Road
bunaglow
after
his
lady
love:
Dimple
Kapadia.
So,
he
desperately
wanted
to
retain
the
name,
but
unfortunately,
Rajendra
Kumar
did
not
allow
Khanna
to
do
so,
as
Dimple
was
his
first
choice.
So,
a
heart-broken
Khanna
had
to
name
his
house
as
'Aashirwad'.
So,
now
we
know,
both
Khanna
and
Kumar
shared
a
common
interest
in
DIMPLE.
