Salman Khan's family to perform last rites of the homeless victim?

It looks like superstar Salman Khan is seriously following his 'Being Human' agenda. Salman is known for his good works in the industry. And now that a 70-year-old pavement dweller has lost her life after she was crushed to death by a Land Cruiser owned by Sallu's brother Sohail Khan, the Khan family is reportedly keen on performing the last rites of the deceased.

Sources from the Mumbai Police informed the Daily Bhaskar that Salman has offered to claim the body and want to give the deceased a respectable funeral. But, on the other hand, the police officials informed the NDTV that since the homeless victim lived on the roadside, they would wait for the next three days for any of her relatives to come forward and claim the body. Else, two of the eyewitnesses of the accident, named Rakesh Shukla and Yash Shah would perform the final rites, if nobody turns up in the upcoming three days.

The accident took place on Sunday night, near St Andrews Church in Bandra. Sohail's driver Dhananjaya Pimpale was driving the car towards Sohail Khan's home in Galaxy apartments, when he hit Chandan Bala. Dhananjaya Pimpale was arrested by the police and subjected to an alcohol test which turned out to be negative. The police has booked Pimpale on charges of rash driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. But, he was later released on bail for a surety of Rs 10,000.
