Wankhede Scuffle - No action against Shahrukh Khan

By Puri

After winning the semifinals in IPL 5, Shahrukh Khan has one more reason to smile. It has been reported that no action is likely to be taken against Shahrukh Khan in Wankhede brawl.

A police officer, who is investigating the case, told a leading daily, “We cannot investigate non-cognisable offences unless there is a court order. Until now, no such order has come. All we have is the offence registered against the actor, which at this moment, is more like a written warning. No action is likely in the case.”

The officer further added, “We have also not got the CCTV footage of the incident from the MCA. Apart from the first day when senior MCA officials had come to the police station, we haven’t had any interaction with them.”

The MCA officials had lodged a police complaint against Shahrukh Khan for his alleged misbehaviour at the Wankhede stadium with the security guard and decided to ban him for five years from entering the premises.
