Actress Vidya Balan, who is basking on the success of back to hits like Kahaani and The Dirty Picture, is known for her choice of films, characters, directors, which defy the set norms of the industry. The latest buzz is that Numero Uno star is likely to act in filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar's next Marathi film.
Reports suggest that Mahesh Manjrekar is keen to work with Vidya Balan in one of his upcoming Marathi film, which he is in scripting stage, and he has already expressed his desire to her. The Mallu girl, who is born and brought up in Mumbai, has said yes to consider his offer, but will give her consent only after reading the script.
However, Vidya Balan, who knows to speak as many as nine languages, started her acting career with Bengali movie Bhalo Theko, which won her the Anandalok Puraskar Best Actress award in Kolkata. Later, she went busy with her Bollywood offers. She has also appeared in Malayalam film Urumi, which became and got lot of accolades. If everything goes well, she will now debut in Marathi too.
