Pallavi Sharda: I Wanted To Be An Actress Since My Childhood

Besharam is releasing tomorrow and everybody is talking about how the Ranbir Kapoor starrer would pan out to be. The main focus of the movie is on RK and Abhinav Kashyap, who had earlier directed the mega hit Dabangg. But the lead actress of the movie, Pallavi Sharda, is not far behind.

Pallavi is an Indian-Australian and besides acting she is also a trained classical dancer. She has a law degree from the University of Melbourne which she had commenced when she was just 16 years old. During a recent interview with a leading daily, Sharda opened about her personal life " I was born in Perth but raised in Melbourne. I finished my school when I was just 16 years old and then enrolled for a law degree at the University of Melbourne. When I was growing up, bollywood was my dream. I started taking Bharatnatyam classes when I was just 3 years old and my all time favourite actresses are,Madhuri and Sridevi. I always used to do dance on their songs. In fact my nickname was Pallu the dancer." Click here to view images of Pallavi Sharda.

" I was only 21 years old when I shifted my base from Melbourne to Mumbai. I started out with theatre and was then cast as the lead in Vaibhavi Merchant's Taj Express because I was a good dancer. Then one day I met Abhinav Kashyap and after two months, got a call to audition for Besharam. After being selected for the movie, I realised that soon I would be walking the red carpet." She further added.

Sharda has recently signed a movie opposite Ayushmann Khuranna, which will be a period drama to be directed by Vibhu Puri.
