Oops, What's This - Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan Greet Rekha!

In one of the most interesting 'turn' of events, Amitabh Bachchan was photographed greeting actress Rekha with a 'namaste' at the 20th Annual Screen Awards that took place last night. In fact, Jaya Bachchan too was spotted bonding with the yesteryear queen at the event.

Amitabh Bachchan, who was rumoured to be dating Rekha long ago had not acknowledged Rekha in public since their last film together in 1981 titled Silsila. So, it was a 'treat' for the fans of the stars as well as the media who could not stop taking pictures of Big B greeting Rekha!

The cold vibes between Jaya Bachchan and Rekha seem to have vanished, and so has the discomfort between Big B and Rekhaji of being snapped!

The on-screen and the alleged off-screen chemistry between Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan was much talked about in gossip circles in the 80's and the media had fun cooking up stories of their romance and how they remain in touch even after their alleged split. That was when Big B got upset and decided not to give the media an opportunity to 'cook up' baseless rumours. Since then, the two have remained silent and maintained a safe distance.
