Deepika Padukone Refused To Do Item Number In Kaanchi: Subhash Ghai

Subhash Ghai revealed in an interview to a magazine that Rishi Kapoor wanted Deepika Padukone to do an item number in their upcoming film Kaanchi. The dimpled beauty had other plans and didn't accept the offer.

Subhash Ghai said, "Rishi Kapoor insisted on Deepika Padukone. I thought the song should be picturised on her. I refused but he dialled her thinking I can't get her, and put her on me. She also didn't know what to say. So she spoke to me and asked for time to think. She turned it down saying she has been offered many such songs and if she says yes to me, she has to say yes to others too. I felt so relieved! Main darr raha tha ki agar woh haan kar degi to main mar jaoonga. Kanchi ke aage agar Deepika khadi hui to mere heroine ko kaun dekhega?"

Subhash Ghai would be one relieved man after Deepika Padukone refused to do the item number.

However, it is surprising that how Rishi Kapoor wanted only Deepika Padukone, especially after their bitter episode that created controversy in a famous television show wherein Sonam Kapoor and Deepika said unpleasant things about his son Ranbir Kapoor.
