Preity
Zinta
has
filed
an
FIR
at
the
Khar
police
station
against
Nataraja,
who
was
the
Director
of
Photography
(DOP)
for
her
home
production
Ishq
In
Paris.
Preity
has
alleged
that
Nataraja,
who
handled
the
photography
of
her
film
Ishq
in
Paris
had
taken
an
advance
of
Rs
20
lakh
from
her,
but
did
not
return
it
even
though
he
dropped
out
of
the
film.
Nataraja,
who
was
working
on
a
film
starring
Ranbir
Kapoor
and
Arjun
Rampal
had
decided
to
go
leave
for
a
recce
with
Vikramjit,
the
director
of
the
film
on
February
8th.
All
their
plans
went
haywire
when
Preity
Zinta
filed
an
FIR
against
Nataraja,
who
has
also
worked
on
films
like
Love
Aaj
Kal
and
Raanjhanaa.
Nataraja
immediately
went
to
Chennai
to
get
anticipatory
bail.
According
to
sources,
Preity,
who
had
initially
signed
Nataraja
for
Rs.
85
lakhs
dropped
him
since
she
couldn't
afford
him
and
hence
chose
another
DOP
who
was
more
affordable.
However,
Nataraja
had
already
worked
for
eight
months
on
her
project
and
probably
thought
he
was
entitled
to
the
advance.
Nataraja
has
apparently
approached
Anil
Mehta,
the
industry's
senior
cinematographer
to
mediate
and
help
solve
this
problem.
When
he
was
asked
to
speak
on
the
issue,
Nataraja
said,
"I
had
done
a
lot
of
work
on
Preity's
film.
I
don't
know
what
has
been
conveyed
to
her
by
her
production
team.
There
is
definitely
some
misunderstanding
but
we
should
be
able
to
sort
things
out."
Now,
if
Nataraja
had
worked
on
Preity's
film
for
almost
eight
months,
it's
unlikely
that
he
would
not
have
put
enough
work
and
effort
on
the
project.
Why
is
it
then
that
Preity
is
asking
him
to
return
the
signing
amount?
Is
this
a
desperate
attempt
on
the
part
of
Preity
who
has
lost
lot
of
money
making
the
film?
