Yes!
You
heard
it
right!
Salman
Khan,
who
is
known
to
be
honest
and
outspoken
went
on
to
term
music
composer
AR
Rahman
as
an
'average'
music
composer!
While
the
entire
world
is
raving
about
music
composer
AR
Rahman's
talent
and
his
music
composition,
Salman
Khan
'dared'
to
term
him
as
an
average
music
composer.
At
an
event
held
to
launch
the
album
'Raunaq',
a
collaboration
between
AR
Rahman
and
Kapil
Sibal
on
February
27,
Salman
Khan
told
media
persons
that
the
common
thing
about
AR
Rahman
and
him
is
the
'Jai
Ho'
factor.
While
Salman's
recent
film
Jai
Ho
has
been
creating
waves
at
the
box
office,
AR
Rahman's
song
'Jai
Ho'
for
the
Hollywood
film
Slumdog
Millionnaire
(2008)
won
him
many
accolades
and
awards.
It
might
be
interesting
to
note
that
AR
Rahman
had
earlier
issued
a
legal
notice
to
Salman
Khan
for
using
the
title
'Jai
Ho'
for
his
film,
directed
by
brother
Sohail
Khan.
AR
Rahman's
lawyer
had
claimed
that
the
music
composer
alone
owns
the
rights
to
that
title
after
he
created
a
song
by
that
name
for
the
film
Slumdog
Millionaire.
In
fact
the
song
also
won
him
his
first
Oscar
award!
AR
Rahman's
lawyer
was
quoted
as
telling
a
tabloid,
"Use
of
the
trademark
requires
an
official
licence
from
Rahman." However,
the
issue
was
soon
resolved,
and
Sohail
Khan
went
ahead
with
the
film's
release.
Now,
one
cannot
help
but
wonder
if
'personal
differences' was
the
reason
behind
Salman
Khan
terming
AR
Rahman
as
'average'!
Oh
come
on
Sallu
bhai....you
are
bigger
than
that!
