We were all shocked when we came to know that Shahrukh Khan's Raees and Salman Khan's Sultan will release on the same day in 2016. But, according to the recent reports this massive clash might be averted.
Raees and Sultan were expected to release on Eid next year. Shahrukh Khan is playing a bootlegger in Raees, while Salman Khan will be seen in the role of a wrestler based in Haryana.
Talking about the clash, a senior trade expert told Pinkvilla, "Now, both the stars are on good terms, so sitting down and discussing won't be a problem. Also, for Shahrukh, the opposite party is Yash Raj (the producers of Sultan), with whom he shares very good relations, so negotiation is possible. This, however, is not the case with Bajirao Mastani, which involves Bhansali and Eros. Here, it is more of an ego clash.''

The expert further added, "It all depends on how these films (Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani) fare at the box office, and the situation might then change. Then, there is a possibility that Shahrukh and Salman will sit together and mutually decide and one of them might shift the release date. When there are huge stars involved, it is they who take the call about most of the important decisions of their films, not the producers.''
When Shahrukh Khan was asked about the clash by a leading daily, he had said, ''There is no issue. Let them also release. It's very simple, their distribution and production offices feel their film should release on Eid, while my distribution office feels that ours is designed for Eid. So, we both have decided (to release the films on the same date), but there's no clash the way it's being made out to be."
