Whoa! The Budget Of Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh's Padmavati Is Rs 190 Crores?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is famous for making larger than life films. But your jaw will drop when you will read about the budget of his next film Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

Reportedly, Padmavati's budget is close to a whopping Rs. 180 to Rs. 190 crores! A source told a leading daily, "Sanjay's Padmavati will have a budget almost unheard of in Bollywood. It's a terribly risky affair because although Bajirao Mastani worked at the box office, Padmavati's budget is way higher than BM."

The source further continued, "The sets are huge and the production cost for the film will be in the range of Rs 130-140 crores itself. Add another Rs 20 crores for print and publicity campaigns. Along with this, the leading cast will charge around Rs 30 crores in total.''

''Out of that Rs 30 crores, Deepika will get Rs 12 crores, Ranveer and Shahid are charging around Rs 8 crores each. That makes the budget of Padmavati a staggering Rs 180-190 crores which is mammoth," the source said.
