Not so long ago, it was reported that the Dhoom director Vijay Krishna Acharya will be directing a pirate-fantasy film, Thug this year. The film is said to be inspired by Johnny Depp's blockbuster movie Pirates Of The Caribbean.
Talking about the same, a source close to Yash Raj Films revealed Bollywood Life, "Parineeti has signed Victor's Thug and the announcement about signing her as the female lead will be made in the coming week."
''Thug has a huge budget and Hrithik wants to make sure the script is in its right place. Since a lot of focus is on the special effects, he is worried that the story and plot might take a back seat," the source said.
Earlier rumours were rife that Parineeti Chopra was approached to play the female lead for Sultan. Later, it was announced that Anushka Sharma has bagged the role in the much-talked about Yash Raj Film's sports drama.
"I ignored it (rumours) for quite sometime and so I tweeted about it. I am not doing Sultan as the film was never offered to me. Now, Anushka is doing the film and it is great," Parineeti Chopra had said.
Parineeti Chopra also hinted that she has signed a film but did not reveal anything about it, "There is something. But I can't announce. We will announce it whenever we are ready. The producers will do that," she said.
