Shahrukh Khan celebrated his 51st birthday yesterday on November 2 amid a fan frenzy outside his house Mannat in Bandra, Mumbai and it was widely speculated that he would be treating his fans with the release of the Raees trailer on the occasion of his birthday.
Things took a u-turn and the film-makers decided not to release the trailer of Raees on SRK's birthday as it might have lead to comparisions between Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil and Aamir Khan's Dangal and the film-makers are waiting for the dust of Kaabil and Dangal to settle down.
Also, the other reason for the trailer not being released is the Uri attacks. Pressure has been mounting on films that star Pakistani actors and Raees heroine Mahira Khan is from Pakistan. The matter is still in the news and the trailer might receive backlash from several groups and protests might intensify causing trouble in the release of Raees.
Raees starring Shahrukh Khan and Mahira Khan is slated to hit the theatres on January 26, 2017 and the film would clash with Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil. Both the films have very high expectations and we believe that these two films will find success at the box office.
