Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali spoke about doing a film on the life of legendary poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi, tenatatively titled as Gustakhiyan, a lot of speculations have been doing the rounds. While earlier, we heard names like Irrfan Khan and Fawad Khan being considered for the male lead, here's the latest development.
If reports are to be believed then the film-maker is currently in talks with Shahrukh Khan for this movie.
Earlier when SLB had expressed his desire to make a movie on this subject he had said, "When the script came to me, it was so wonderful that I wanted to direct it. But then, I decided to produce it. Sahir Ludhianvi had a legacy and such a great love story. It deserves to be told. It's an important film for us. This film is my way of giving back to the cinema for his immense contribution."
It would be quite interesting to see SRK play Sahir Ludhianvi on screen considering that the superstar is keen to experiment with his films and take up fresh subjects.
Meanwhile, Bhansali has already kick-started his magnum opus Padmavati with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The film is slated to hit the big screens on 17th November, 2017.
