The shooting of Fan is finished and most of the post production work is also done. The first cut of the movie will be ready in two months. Talking about the film SRK said, "What I do in Fan is what the film is about. Gaurav is 25 years old in the film and it's not because I want to play or look like a 25-year-old in my film.''

Shahrukh Khan further added, ''It's a story about a 25-year-old fan and a 45-year-old superstar. The character of Aryan Khanna has still not been introduced so when we reveal his look, the difference should be evident. When the comparison will come to the fore, it will look really beautiful, Inshallah!"
Namrata Rao, the editor of Fan, too indirectly revealed the story to the daily, "Shahrukh has balanced both roles very nicely. It's difficult to play both sides of the spectrum but in Fan, he's understood the psychology of both the characters really well. In fact, there's an action sequence in the end of the film where I just could not decide whose side I am on."
