Vivek Kept Hiding From Salman Khan
According to Spotboye, ''Vivek chose not to go anywhere near Salman. Shahrukh, Deepika, Chris Martin, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan had formed a group of their own. Ditto for many other guests. But it was only Vivek who was lurking in corners to avoid a face-off with Salman."

When & How The Two Became Enemies
For the uninitiated, Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi's infamous fight started on March 31, 2003 when Vivek called a press conference to tell the media how a drunk Salman had called him up and threatened to kill him. Salman Khan, who was the ex-lover of his then girlfriend Aishwarya Rai, had threatened him for dating the actress.
Nobody From The Industry Supported Vivek Oberoi
The press conference was Vivek Oberoi's biggest mistake as nobody from the industry, not even his girlfriend of that time Aishwarya Rai, supported him. Many directors who were close to Salman stopped taking him in their films.
What Happened Next?
After the failed press conference, Aishwarya Rai left him. Later, when Vivek realised his mistake he tried to apologise to Salman Khan both directly and indirectly. But it seems Salman is in no mood to forgive him even today.
Not so long ago, in an interview to a leading daily, Vivek Oberoi was asked if that infamous press conference still continued to haunt him. To which he had replied, "I don't dwell in the past, and I believe negativity helps no one. I'm someone who has always had a positive outlook towards life. I move on, rather than mull over the past. What I've learnt in my 14-year journey in Bollywood is that no matter how successful you are, nothing is better than humility."
When asked if Salman Khan's behaviour bothers him, Vivek said, "No! Unfortunately, some people are stuck in a time warp about an incident that happened in my life 13 years ago. I'm celebrating my life every day. I have a great life and a beautiful family, I wake up to bliss every day. I'm blessed with more than I could dream of. The respect I get is something I had never imagined I would get 10 years ago. I feel so much gratitude for it all."
