According to an entertainment portal, "Sara Ali Khan had come down to YRF for an audition. But Aditya Chopra didn't find her interesting enough and thus rejected her for the film."

"His mother Sharmila Tagore had worn a bikini in her film An Evening In Paris (1967). Saif's sister Soha too donned a bikini in her film Mr Joe B Carvalho (2014) and his wife Kareena Kapoor has worn them in her films.

The source further revealed, "Amrita wants her daughter to be like her and not the Pataudis. Producer Karan Johar is keen on getting the bikini scenes out of the film hence the delay in announcing the cast of SOTY2. Amrita wants Sara to be known for more her acting chops than her body."
Unlike Amrita, Saif Is Happy With Karan
"I would love Sara to be launched by Karan Johar. He is one of the best that we have," Sara Ali Khan's father, Saif Ali Khan had said in a statement.
Saif On Comparing Sara With Alia
He had further added, "I keep reading various reports where I am supposedly averse to her getting launched by Karan because she will apparently become another Alia Bhatt. If Sara becomes as successful as Alia is then it will be a matter of pride and happiness for all of us," he added.
It will be interesting to see how Sara's film career will shape up, after so much of hullabaloo. And only time will tell, whether she will be able to carve a niche for herself or sink into oblivion like other star kids like Esha Deol, Uday Chopra and others.
