What do one expects from a Rajshri's movies? A handsome couple fall in love and then follows the family denial or acceptance. Love U...Mr Kalakaar, though not directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, has a great influence of his style. The Indian values, traditions, culture, parampara, sanskriti, etc, are also seen in this film directed by S.Manasvi.
The film is a fantasy world, where everything is sweet, a perfect family with a perfect girl and guy, who fall in love the very perfect way. The film is quiet far from the current real life. Though the film is based on 2011, it seems that the characters have popped out of 1980s, because of their old-fashioned ways.
The plot is dead, with irritatingly dramatic writing. The emotions portrayed to strike the right cord. There are as few moments that are worth praising in the film.
Sahil (Tusshar Kapoor) is a cartoonist, an artist, who is an orphan, while Ritu (Amrita Rao) is a management trainee, who works for her father's (Ram Kapoor) organisation. The duo are attracted towards each other and Ritu's father acts as a enemy for them. He believes that artists donot make good husbands. As usual the father gives up in front of their love and agrees, but has a condition. The guy has to prove himself worthy.
