LoveShhuda

LoveShhuda movie revolves around two people who meet in three different places — London, Mauritius and Shimla — at three different times of their lives. They fall in love with each other despite the time and distance, but complications arise. This story is about a man who drinks and wakes up in the morning with a girl whom he does not know. When he gradually starts to fall in love with her, he must choose between love and practicality.

The 131 minutes of this film has just been padded up with fancy locations, barrels of alcohol and lots of big wet kisses. Director Vaibhav Mishra and his team might just want to check into an Alcohol Anonymous programme after chugging down bottles of liquor for their film ‘Loveshhuda’. Shot in exotic locations of London and Mauritius, the film is just a travel guide to expensive party destinations that require a lot of alcohol to enjoy your stay there. ‘Loveshhuda’ should have been titled, ‘Daarushhuda’. First half is with mixed with water and soda but second half is just about having neat pegs. I recommend that you carry a strip of disprin atleast for the second half.

Love story is a surefire formula but it is also the most conveniently misused plot in Bollywood. Throw in a boy with complexities with a girl who knows how to live life and you have a romance ready to be sculpted into a film. Even the vice versa is true. Loveshhuda is nothing but old wine in an old bottle or vodka or beer or whatever you can drink up! Watch it if you have to…like really HAVE TO!

LOVESHHUDA marks the directorial debut of Vaibhav Mishra. With LOVESHHUDA, Vaibhav Mishra (who also doubles up as a scriptwriter) has tried to tell 'a love story that starts in bed'! The sad part is that he fails miserably in doing so. As for the performances, the film's lead actors Girish Kumar and Navneet Kaur Dhillon make up for a good and fresh pair onscreen. Girish Kumar shows growth as an actor. While he has his set of struggles while handling emotional scenes. The film also sees the debut of 'yet another beauty queen turned actress' in the form of Navneet Kaur Dhillon, who delivers a decent performance (strictly in parts) in the film. On the whole, LOVESHHUDA is an amalgamation of famous rom-coms from both Hollywood and Bollywood with good music but fails to make an impact as it offers nothing new.
