The evergreen star of Bollywood, Dev Anand has now donned a new role but this time of a magazine editor. Mr. Dev Anand has received the honour of being the guest editor of bbchindi.com, an online magazine of BBC. This website is mainly about India and incorporates the features from the site's Entertainment index, together with original material including stories, poetry and interviews.

The 82 year old actor-director will be the guest editor of this website for a period of three months. Says Anand that he was "pleasantly surprised" at the offer. Dev Anand adds that he has never copied anyone and so hasn't BBC, so the exclusivity is common for both of them. The online magazine is referred to as "patrika" which is the Hindi word for a magazine. Dev Anand will be monitoring the website from Mumbai itself.
