Hrishita Bhatt in a Bengali movie

Hrishitaa Bhatt has been signed up by Rani Mukherjee's brother, Raja Mukherjee, for his Bengali film which is not yet titled. Raja Mukherjee asked Hrishitaa if she was interested in doing a Bengali film and handed over the script to her. Says Hrishitaa that she was bowled over after reading the script and agreed to do the film immediately.

Hrishitaa adds that she is very fluent in speaking Bengali as she had many Bengali friends and neighbors while growing up. Bengali is just like her mother tongue. However, Hrishtaa gets her defenses ready when asked if the reason for doing a Bengali film was lack of offers in Bollywood. She says that she is doing it because the script is fantastic and not because doing Bengali movies is the 'in' thing these days. She clarifies that she is very much committed to Bollywood and would talk about those films only when she starts shooting for them.
