Mimoh, Mithun Chakraborthy's son, is going to star in a film called Jimmy in which he will play the role of a DJ. Incidentally, Mithun's character in his 80's hit Disco Dancer was also called Jimmy. The film is going to be directed by Raj N. Sippy and produced by Nawman Malik.

The father and son share a very interesting relationship, which can clearly be seen whenever the two appear together. Mimoh who is hardly 21, has always appeared to be humble and well mannered boy whenever he has been in interaction with the media. He says that people refer to him as Mithun's son as of now, something he takes pride in, but at the same time he also believes that it is important for one to create his own identity in this industry. One needs to work hard to reach a position and can't just rely on his father's name for that.

Mithun though is supportive to his son, also remains equally honest. Says Mithun that it is too early to call his son an actor. Mimoh is just ready to face the camera as of now. As far as acting goes, Mimoh will definitely need some time to improve his skills and to become a strong actor. Mithun would like to see his son grow in this field the way he did, which is definitely by doing hard work and paving his own path. Mithun claims that Mimoh has got no special privilege, just because he happens to be a star son. Even when producers come to sign him for their films, Mithun sees to it that Mimoh auditions for the role. Mithun also goes to the extent of personally asking the producers if they really think whether it is worth signing Mimoh for the role. He clarifies to them stating clearly that since they are going to spend crores on the film, they should only sign his son if they think he is worth it.

When asked about comparing the two as an actor, Mithun says that he will undoubtedly beat Mimoh hollow. According to Mithun, acting isn't something that one can learn instantly. It's not like; a person just wakes thinking that he wants to act and succeeds in it. One takes years to actually learn and gain expertise in the field. Mithun has clearly warned Mimoh to not even think of calling himself as an actor. He has also told him not to get carried away and start attempting things. Rather just keep following the director's instructions and do what he wants you to do. Though, something strikes Mithun and he says that dancing is one area where Mimoh can beat him.

Well this makes one thing clear that Mithun is definitely not like few other stars, who claimed that their kids are the finest actors that the country will get and who will become even bigger than their parents, but when appeared on screen, these star kids turned out to be pathetic actors ever. Mithun sees to it that his son remains down to earth and creates an identity of his own with his own efforts and hard work, without making any larger than life claims about his son.
