Speculation
is
rife
that
Dr.
Chandraprakash
Dwivedi's
historical
on
Prithviraj-Sanjukta
has
been
shelved.
One
of
the
reasons
the
news
gathered
momentum
can
be
attributed
to
the
fact
that
neither
Dwivedi
nor
Sunny
Deol,
who
has
been
cast
in
the
role
of
Prithviraj,
gave
a
clarification
to
the
media
vis-À-vis
the
current
status
on
the
film.
"What's
the
point
in
issuing
a
clarification?
All
that
the
media
wishes
to
highlight
is
the
Sunny-Santoshi
war
[Santoshi
was
also
planning
to
start
a
film
on
Prithviraj].
Why
should
we
add
fuel
to
fire?
In
fact,
Sunny
and
I
have
decided
against
speaking
to
the
media.
This
is
the
first
time
I
am
actually
talking
about
the
status
of
my
project," Dwivedi
sets
the
record
straight.
So
what's
the
truth?
Is
the
project
on
or
off?
"It's
definitely
on
the
cards.
The
only
issue
is
its
budget.
Since
it's
a
historical,
it
requires
an
'x'
amount
to
make
the
project.
And
I
am
in
no
mood
to
start
the
film
and
halt
its
progress
midway
because
of
lack
of
funds.
Till
we
are
completely
sure
of
the
financial
aspect,
we
wouldn't
begin
its
filming," Dwivedi
states
categorically.
What's
Sunny's
take
on
the
entire
issue?
"Well,
he
is
returning
from
Bangkok
tonight
[Tuesday,
July
4].
We
are
likely
to
discuss
the
issue
in
a
few
days
from
now,"
he
explicates,
"But
let
me
add,
the
project
is
not
shelved."
