Rang de Basanti to be screened at Golden Globes

The official body for Golden Globe Awards is Hollywood Foreign Press Association. A 95 member team is going to watch the UTV film Rang De Basanti in the foreign language film category on July 27th 7:30 pm at the Clarity Screening Theatre in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Ronnie Screwvala and Rakeysh Mehra will be present and the screening will be followed by Indian Dinner.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association screens films through the year before arriving at the nominations decision and announcement towards the end of the year. The HFPA was founded more than 60 years ago by a group of Los Angeles-based journalists working for overseas publications. It's the annual Golden Globe awards that have enabled the non-profit organization to donate more than $5.5 million in the past eleven years to entertainment-related charities, as well as funding scholarships and other programs for future film and television professionals. This year the donation was more than one million dollars and the group also gave an additional $250,000 to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
