Nikhil Advani is in a dilemma. Before you jump to conclusions, let me explain that it has nothing to do with star tantrums. In fact, the gargantuan star cast of Nikhil's second baby, Salaam-E-Ishq, has already allotted bulk dates for the penultimate 40-day shooting schedule of the film that begins on July 29 in Mumbai and proceeds to London from August 3 onwards. In fact, Nikhil had zeroed in on Canada initially, but the eventual destination is London.
So where's the hitch? Is there really a problem?
"It's the release date of Salaam-E-Ishq that's bothering me," Nikhil sounds concerned, "I am undecided about the date. See, I will be through with the shooting in September and can safely release my film in December. That's precisely why I have decided on two release dates for the film: It's going to be December 15 this year or January 19 next year."
So how is Nikhil going to resolve the issue? What date will he finally settle at? "I have decided to toss a coin and decide on a date when I am through with the shooting. Are you shocked? It's not bizarre... that's exactly what I plan to do. In fact, a coin is actually going to decide on the release date of Salaam-E-Ishq."
Nikhil has another solution in mind as well -- he wants IndiaFM to conduct a poll vis-À-vis the release date "and the date [December 15 or January 19] that receives the mandate will eventually be the release date of Salaam-E-Ishq," he adds.
