A
local
court
today
issued
a
notice
to
Bollywood
actor
Salman
Khan
for
filing
a
false
affidavit
in
connection
with
his
gun
licence
in
the
illegal
arms
case.
The
prosecution
filed
an
appeal
in
the
court
saying
Salman
lied
to
the
court
about
his
gun
licence.
The
prosecution
said
that
when
the
court
had
asked
Salman
to
submit
the
licence
for
his
gun
used
in
the
poaching
case,
he
had
said
his
licence
was
lost.
The
prosecution
says
Salman
had
filed
a
report
before
Mumbai
police
saying
he
has
lost
his
gun
licence.
But
actually
went
ahead
and
filed
an
application
for
renewal
for
his
licence
in
Mumbai
soemtime
later.
The
prosecution
now
wants
a
case
of
perjury
against
Salman
under
Section
340
of
Indian
Penal
Code.
The
court
of
Magistrate
Dalpat
Singh
Rajpurohit
has
asked
the
defence
counsel
to
submit
a
reply
by
July
10.
