Amitabh wants Sanjay to postpone Shootout

Amitabh Bachchan will have two releases on 25th May, Shootout At Lokhandwala and Cheeni Kum. No doubt, the two films belong to different genres because while one is an action fare, the other is a comedy, but Bachchan did not want to take any chances and, therefore, asked Sanjay Gupta if he could postpone his Shootout At Lokhandwala.

Although Gupta wanted to oblige, he couldn't because postponing his film by a week (to 1st June) seemed impossibile. Reason: Firoz Nadiadwala (Fool N Final) and Sanjay Gupta had already arrived at a decision not to come in opposition to one another, and Fool N Final release had been fixed for June 1.

Besides, says Gupta, "To my good luck, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, has been postponed by a week, to June 1, which means lack of opposition for me on 25th May." And so, it will be Bachchan versus Bachchan next Friday.
