Bollywood
glam
doll
Esha
Deol
has
refused
to
play
Chandramukhi
in
Sudhir
Mishra's
Aur
Devdas.
Esha
showed
keen
interest
in
the
film
but
the
dates
of
Aur
Devdas
collides
with
her
prior
assignments.
Since,
Esha
has
films
like
Hijack,
One
Two
Three
and
Jannat
lined
up,
she
has
not
only
turned
down
Aur
Devdas
but
refused
to
act
in
Ganesh
Acharya"s
film
starring
Govinda
as
well
as
Rituparno
Ghosh"s
English
film
The
Last
Lear.
The
latest
is
that
the
role
of
Chandramukhi
now
falls
on
Soha
Ali
Khan's
lap.
Soha
had
already
worked
with
Sudhir
Mishra
in
Khoya
khoya
Chand
and
she
is
well
accustomed
with
Sudhir's
style
of
work.
From
the
very
beginning,
Sudhir
Mishra's
Aur
Devdas
is
facing
casting
problems.
First,
Amrita
Singh
who
turned
down
the
offer
as
she
was
kept
waiting
for
long
hours.
Then
comes
Rani
Mukherjee
who
after
listening
to
the
script
showed
her
eagerness
to
play
the
role
of
Paro
but
not
yet
showed
green
signal.
Sudhir
preferred
not
to
waste
more
time
on
the
selection
of
casts
and
he
finally
ropes
in
Lara
Dutta
to
play
Paro.
At
last,
it
is
Soha
and
Lara
who
will
play
modern
Devdas
Shiney
Ahuja's
love
interest,
Chandramukhi
and
Paro.
