Brushing competition from the likes of 'Pyaar Karke Pachtaya' [Pyaar Ke Side Effects], the superhit number 'Chak De Phatte' from last year's delightful success Khosla Ka Ghosla has won 'Best Punjabi Song of the Year' award.

Confirming the news, Savita Hiremath, co-producer of Khosla Ka Ghosla said, "We are thrilled about the recognition the number continues to get all over. Our song 'Chak De Phatte' has won 'Best Punjabi Song of the Year' award by public voting. This is the ETC Punjabi Music award for Best Punjabi song in a Hindi film where the closest competition came from 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects'. The nominations were received from all over the world."

When released last year, the song rendered by Kailash Kher had become a rage and continues to enthrall the music lovers all over. Composed by Dhruv Dhalla and written by Jaideep Sahni, the song ran as a part of the film's narrative and never failed to perk up the situation on its arrival.
