to
live
their
lives.

Through
two
university
hostellers,
Apurv
(Imaad
shah),
a
rich
cosmopolitan
guy
and,
sanjay
(Shreyas
Talpade),
an
old-fashioned
Bihari
guy,
the
film
juxtaposes
the
'new
/
liberal'
and
the
'old
/
conservative'
in

Commenting
on
the
music
of
the
film,
Siddharth
-
Suhas
the
music
directors
of
the
film
said,
'Early
on
we
realized
that
the
film
and
the
music
is
something
more
than
the
usual
masala
fare.
Normally,
we
assign
tunes
based
on
which
lyricists
write
the
songs.
However,
the
director,
Manish
Tiwary
had
worked
out
themes
for
the
song
and
in
the
case
of
Dum
Laga;
the
lyricists
already
had
the
song
ready
(except
the
punchline
Dum
Laga,
which
is
our
creation).
So
we
composed
keeping
these
frameworks
in
mind.
A
lot
of
team-work
has
gone
into
the
making
of
the
songs
and
music
in
a
way
that
compliments
the
film.
Agnee,
the
rock
band
who
has
composed
the
other
two
songs-
Lambha
Ye
Jayega
and
More
Baanke
Chhaliya
comments
that
the
songs
and
the
compositions
came
out
very
naturally.
It
was
an
intense
experience
and
a
fruitful
collaboration
working
on
the
songs
of
Dil
Dosti
Etc.
For
our
debut
film
we
couldn't
have
asked
for
a
better
start.'
The
concert
has
received
overwhelming
response
from
all
the
students
and
young
people
all
across
Delhi
and
its
suburbs.
Dil
Dosti
Etc
uses
a
rich
ensemble
of
characters,
stories
and
themes
to
explore
the
very
nature
of
friendship,
male
bonding,
voyeurism,
sexual
perversion,
love
and
betrayal.
The
film,
based
on
an
original
screenplay,
is
full
with
realism
and
black
humor
and
shows
the
coming
of
age
of
not
only
a
young
man
but
also
explores
the
ambiguities
and
pre-occupations
of
an
entire
generation.
