Besides co-producing films with Sanjay Gupta's White Feather Films, Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Films is starting two films independently. The first project happens to be the sequel to the immensely entertaining Kyaa Kool Hai Hum and the second venture is also a laughathon.

The sequel to K2H2 will star the same team heading the cast -- Tusshar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh. Confirming the development, Ekta's uncle Ramesh Sippy, who heads the film production wing of the company, confirmed that Ritesh heard the story narration last week and was extremely pleased with it. "He loved the concept and has agreed in principle to be a part of the film," Sippy divulges.

Sangeeth Sivan, who directed K2H2, is expected to direct the sequel as well.

Sachin Yardi, who penned the script of K2H2, will direct the second project for Balaji [it will mark Sachin's directorial debut]. "It's a comic caper, revolving around three characters. We've signed Tusshar, Anupam Kher and Rajpal Yadav for it," Sippy confirms. There's one more pivotal character in the film -- a negative role -- that has to be finalized.

"Since almost 80% of the film is to be shot outdoors, we've decided to begin shooting after the monsoons," Sippy adds.
