Kalpana's next is a love story

Kalpana Lajmi the noted film director known for her hard hitting women oriented films like Rudaali, Daman and Chingari is working on two new projects. The first project will star Rahul Dev and Isha Koppikar. So will this film be another woman centric film like her other films? The director answers "No the film is not a women centric film. It is a period film, a love story based against Rajasthan somewhere around the 16th -17th century. But I don't know when the film will go on floors because I am still waiting for the cast to be finalized which has been delayed tremendously. I doubt if it will be on floor this year. It's very tough to get everyone's dates together. I am scripting at the moment and the screenplay should be ready within a month or two. And simultaneously I am meeting people for the casting process. Let's pray that everything falls in place soon".

Reportedly her second project has Anupam Kher and Esha Deol as the cast "Yes they have agreed to work with me which is wonderful. It's a lovely fun film about a conman and how we fall for anything with astrological signs. It's an interesting project. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a producer for the film".

"So in one project I have got the cast and no producer yet and the other project I have got the producer and the cast is still on the way. So it's a tricky situation", she laughs off.
