So
what
if
lyricist
Sameer,
son
of
legendary
lyricist
Anjaan
hasnt
been
able
to
carve
a
niche
for
himself
at
par
with
other
lyricists
like
Gulzar
and
Javed
Akhtar;
he is
all
set
to
achieve something
which
his
compatriots
can
only
dream
of.
Yes,
if
everything
goes
as
per
the
planning, Sameer
would
get
his
name
registered
in
coveted
'Limca
Book
of
Records'.
In
his
career
spanning 25
years,
Sameer has
created
an
unsurpassed
record
in
the
world
of
Bollywood,
having
written
lyrics
for
5,000
songs
translating
to
502
films.
At
the
age
of
48,
this
is
an
amazing
achievement.
And
why
not,
after
all,
his
family
has
a
legacy
when
it
comes
to
writing.
Sameer,
after
getting
the
genes
from
his
father,
refused
to
live
under
the
shadow
of
the
great
Anjaan.
Thus,
creating
his own
style,
adapting
and
changing
and
creating
changes.
As
a
lyricist
he
is
fortunate
to
have
worked
with
the
top-notch
music
directors.
From
the
legendary Laxmikant-Pyarelal
to
R.D.Burman,
from
Anand
Milind
to
Anu
Malek,
from
AR
Rehman
to
Himesh
Reshammiya.
