Madhur Bhandarkar turns to Ad Film direction

Maker of movies like Page 3, Corporate&Chandani Bar, Madhur Bhandarkar is busy in making an 30 seconds ad film. This is for the first time that Madhur is directing any ad film. The said ad film is for a Delhi-based jeweler - PC Jewellers and Mr. Neeraj Gupta of Rahi Communications has produced this ad film. Mugdha Godse, who walked the ramp recently at the Wills India Lifestyle Fashion Week in Delhi, was featured in this ad. Set for this ad film was prepared by Art Director Nitin Desai, at his own ND Studio in Karjat, Mumbai. He had created a huge set of a desert. It's the same studio where the shooting of Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodhaa Akbar is being shot.

Madhur is better known for his realty film making, he always adds the typical realistic touch in his films. But this time the apparent touch of realty which is his style of filmmaking won't be seen in the ad. The ad is much stylized as per the demand of the product. Besides plenty of special effects were being used in the ad. The jingle for the commercial has been scored by Madhur's favorite music director Shamir Tandon.

Madhur says, 'Yes, I am doing this ad as it is something very different from anything I have ever done before and it should be out in the next month. It?s quite a challenge to concise what you normally do in three hours into 30 seconds. So this ad making was also a nice experience for me.'

When asked him, if there's any connection of Mugdha in this ad film and his forthcoming film Fashion, he smiles and said, 'Let's wait Fashion as now I have just finished the script of the film, star cast of the film is yet to be decided but maybe there is some truth in it.

According to Mr. Neeraj Gupta, CEO of a Rahi Communications, 'It was not an easy task to produce an ad film, we did a lot of research to make that ad and for the very starting I want Madhur to do that ad for PC Jewellers. This was a debut ad for both me and Madhur and it was a nice experience.'
