Madhur
Bhandarkar
doesn't
know
whether
he
should
be
amused
about
the
rumors
surrounding
his
film
or
feel
happy
about
the
buzz
that
his
yet-to-come-on-floor
Fashion
is
generating.
"Leaving
jokes
aside,
it
is
seriously
becoming
a
bit
too
much
to
read
such
things
about
your
film
which
even
you
are
not
aware
of",
says
Madhur
in
this
exclusive
conversation
while
reacting
to
certain
media
reports
that
have
indicated
some
more
inside
information
about
his
upcoming
project.
As
reported
by
a
section
of
media,
Priyanka
Chopra
and
Kangana
Ranaut
have
been
finalized
as
two
of
the
leading
ladies
for
UTV
produced
Fashion.
"Arrey
abhi
kahan
decide
hua!",
says
an
exasperated
Madhur
on
being
'informed'
about
this
piece
of
news.
"How
can
one
go
ahead
and
finalise
the
starcast
of
the
film
when
even
scripting
is
in
progress",
he
questions.
But
then
it
is
also
being
said
that
come
September
and
film's
shooting
would
begin
full
throttle?
Laughs
Madhur,
"Once
again
not
true
at
all.
As
I
just
said,
currently
the
scripting
is
on
so
how
can
one
commit
on
things
like
shooting
dates
etc?
I
guess
everyone
other
than
me
is
aware
about
my
film's
schedule!"
Well,
in
that
case
the
so
called
budget
of
Rs.20
crore
may
be
a
rumor
as
well.
"You
got
it
right",
says
Madhur
with
a
smile,
"No
doubt
Fashion
is
a
costly
film
to
be
made
but
then
the
budget
could
be
anywhere
around
10
crore,
15
crore
or
even
20
crore.
Let
me
get
all
the
logistics
in
place
and
then
talk
about
budget
etc."
How
about
the
film
being
shot
internationally
at
places
like
Milan
and
Paris?
"Arrey
sab
finalise
toh
ho
jaane
do,
fir
baat
karenge!
Till
then
all
I
can
say
is
that
everything
is
just
speculation."
Coming
back
to
the
choice
of
actors
in
his
film,
why
is
Fashion
inviting
rumors
ever
since
the
day
it
was
announced.
"You
tell
me,
you
are
in
the
business
of
writing
reports",
Madhur
gets
into
a
humorous
mood
here,
"I
have
been
hearing
from
you
guys
only
that
Ayesha
Takia
or
even
Aamir
Khan
had
been
signed
for
the
film.
Worse,
I
was
also
questioned
if
Fashion
was
shelved
in
entirely.
My
choice
is
simple
-
either
continue
to
worry
about
all
these
speculations
or
rather
have
fun
while
concentrating
on
making
the
film.
Well,
I
choose
to
do
the
latter!"
Readers
may
remember
that
this
is
not
the
first
time
that
Madhur's
film
has
been
in
news
for
his
casting
decisions.
Earlier
for
Corporate,
Aishwarya
Rai
was
touted
as
hot
contender
for
the
central
protagonist
before
Bipasha
Basu
bagged
the
coveted
role.
Even
for
Page
3,
there
were
murmurs
about
Kareena
Kapoor
to
have
been
signed
in
for
the
part
that
eventually
went
to
Konkana
Sen.
Now
one
waits
to
see
if
Priyanka
Chopra
and
Kangana
Ranaut
are
indeed
the
front
runners
for
Fashion
or
yet
again
the
last
minute
announcement
of
a
different
leading
lady
would
throw
in
a
surprise!
