All India distribution rights of The Train have been sold to Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. while Venus would be presenting the film.
Confirming the development, an elated Raksha Mistry [co-director] said, "Yes, that's true. The film has been sold at a fantastic price, which is even better than our last film The Killer and we are quite happy with the way film has started creating heat in the industry circles. Even amongst the audience, there seems to be decent buzz building up, even though the first promo of the film is still to be out. In fact, when Emmy [Emraan Hashmi] saw the promo, he couldn't believe the way film is looking now"
So how did it all happen? "Well, we had cut the first promo of The Train", adds Hasnain Hyderabadwaala [co-director], "and as soon as the Ashtavinayak guys saw it, they were bowled over. Moreover even VENUS folks were keen to be associated with the film and hence they are on in the capacity of presenters."
With Mithoon at the helm of compositions, how are things in that direction, especially since a hat trick is expected of him after Bas Ek Pal and Anwar? "Well, that's a story in itself", says Hasnain excitedly, "The music is coming on T-Series. Apparently there were whispers in the industry that Mithoon has come up with yet another winner score. As soon as Bhushan Kumar heard of it, he stepped at Mithoon's home and heard out the music. Once he did that, he confirmed there and then that the music had to go nowhere but T-Series."
Well, that's quite a development. "True", chips in Raksha, "In fact so impressed was Bhushan that at that very moment he offered Mithoon 5 more films. Now since Mithoon likes to take on work in limited volumes, he was a little hesitant but Bhushan has assured him that he can pick and choose projects and directors as per his will!"
When do we see the music and film finally arriving? "We are expecting to launch the music around 1st week of April when Emmy returns from Bangkok from the shoot of Awaarapan", confirms Hasnain. Raksha adds on, "The Train should be coming either on May 11 or May 18. We have left both the options open but there should be a decision soon on that."
