Best Composer Award for Rahman

Music director AR Rahman won the 'Best music composer award' for his work in Mani Ratnam's 'Guru'. The award was presented at the annual Bollywood Music and Fashion Awards ceremony held at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City recently. It is 5 th such award announced for Rahman by a foreign country organization. However Rahman could not be present at the venue to collect the award, as he was away from the country.

Made in India fame playback singer Alisha Chinoy was presented with the 'Best female singer of the year' award for her song 'It's Rocking…' in the film 'Kya Love Story Hai', which also won the 'Best song of the year award'.

A grand musical show was the highlight of the function. Popular Singers like Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sukhbir participated in a grand musical show held at the venue.
