UNI: Actor Sanatan Mody, who plays Amitabh Bachchan's friend in the forthcoming film Cheeni Kum said the superstar ''is so humble to work with that it was unbelievable.'' ''It did not seem like one was working with a living legend, who has given 35 years of his life to the industry,'' he said.

In the film Mr Bachchan's character falls in love with Tabu and comes to ask for her hand from his friend Paresh Rawal, who belongs to the old school of thought. There is huge age gap between Bachchan and Tabu in the film.

Sanatan Mody has acted in Bluffmaster, Prime Minister, Tum, and Partner. He got his first break with Chalte Chalte in a small role with Shah Rukh Khan. Then Joggers Park followed.

He has also acted in TV serials like 'Kusum', 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki', 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay' and 'Kareena Kareena'.

After bagging a small role in Madhur Bhandarkar's Page 3, he decided not to do serials, he said. He also did an international film in Chinese titled Himalaya Singh with Gauri Karnik.
His major break came when he got a call from John Matthew Matthian (of Sarfarosh fame) where he acted in Shikhar. He also acted in Raj Kumar Santoshi's film Family. His forthcoming films include Manthan, where he plays a Dean of a military college, Ek Chaales Ki Last Local with Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia, Benaam by Anees Bazmi of No Entry fame with Ajay Devgan, Halla Bol by Rajkumar Santoshi again with Ajay Devgan where he plays an industrialist launching an airline, Seher with Arshad Warsi and Rajendra Gupta, Welcome by Anees Bazmi with Nana Patekar and Yeh Kaisa Abhimaan.

''I am greatly inspired by Ashok Kumar's acting and Amrish Puri and want to achieve their stature,''he said.
