Producer,
Anil
Sharma
is
all
set
to
make
a
serious
action
movie
with
Shwaas
fame
director
Sandeep
Sawant.
This
film
has
been
tentatively
titled
as
Fhansi
and
will
be
directed
by
Sawant.
Fhansi
stars
Sunny
Deol
as
the
main
lead.
Confirming
the
news,
the
Associate
Producer
of
the
film,
Raj
Chaudhary
said,
"We
have
signed
Sandeep
Sawant
for
our
next
venture." Talking
about
the
starcast
of
the
film,
he
says,
"Sunny
Deol
has
already
been
signed
and
we
are
negotiating
with
Sameera
Reddy
to
play
the
female
lead.
We
have
also
signed
Rahul
Dev
and
Atul
Kulkarni
for
this
film."
According
to
Chaudhary,
Producer
Anil
Sharma
himself
came
up
with
this
subject.
The
script
of
Fhansi
has
been
written
by
Ashok
Bakshi,
who
had
also
written
the
scripts
for
many
other
films
produced
by
Shweta
International
(Anil
Sharma"s
production
banner)
including
Madhoshi.
Speaking
about
the
storyline
of
Fhansi,
Chaudhary
says,
“Fhansi
is
regarding
the
capital
punishment
(death
sentences)
given
in
India.
It"s
about
a
terrorist
who
is
caught
and
imprisoned,
to
be
hanged.
Rahul
Dev
plays
a
terrorist
in
the
film.
The
jailer
will
be
played
by
Sunny
Deol
while
Atul
Kulkarni
plays
a
journalist
and
Sunny"s
close
friend.
Atul
is
against
this,
as
he
wants
this
capital
punishment
to
be
abolished
from
our
country.
While
his
friend
Sunny
makes
him
realize,
why
such
people
deserve
to
be
hanged."
Producer
Anil
Sharma
and
Raj
Chaudhary
have
already
planned
to
take
this
film
across
film
festivals.
No
wonder
they
chose
Sandeep
Sawant
as
the
director
as
his
Marathi
film,
Shwaas
made
an
Oscar
entry.
Fhansi
will
mark
Sawant"s
first
Hindi
film
as
a
director.
Chaudhary
is
very
excited
about
working
with
Santosh
Sawant.
“We
are
planning
to
make
this
film
in
such
a
way
that
it
would
definitely
make
an
Oscar
entry.
Santosh"s
last
movie
Shwaas
won
the
national
award
and
also
went
for
the
Oscars.
We
have
been
planning
this
film
since
the
last
two
years
but
couldn"t
start
it
because
Sandeep
was
occupied
with
his
other
Marathi
projects;
in
addition
to
that
there
were
date
issues.
Our
subject
is
difficult
to
describe
but
we
are
completely
confident
about
our
director.
Sawant
is
a
perfectionist.
We
were
trying
to
get
him
on
this
project
since
the
last
one
and
half
year"
says
Chaudhary.
Interestingly,
there
are
no
songs
in
the
film
but
the
background
music
will
surely
be
captivating.
Fhansi
will
go
on
floors
by
October
and
will
be
shot
completely
in
Goa.
“We
plan
to
release
it
in
January.
The
film
will
be
shot
in
a
single
schedule
of
thirty
days.
It
will
be
completed
by
the
end
of
the
year.
Our
focus
is
mainly
on
festivals"
he
concludes.
