Shabana Azmi pours her voice out

Actress Shabana Azmi will sing for her forthcoming English film, Loins of Punjab Presents. This film is directed by debutant filmmaker Manish Acharya.

According to Acharya, Loins of Punjab Presents is about an NRI millionaire living in New Jersey, who holds a singing contest for the local residents. Shabana was initially reluctant to sing in the film but the director insisted. Manish Acharya wanted an untrained voice as it would add to the concept of her trying to win the singing contest.

Loins of Punjab Presents also stars Ayesha Dharkar, Darshan Jariwala and Ajay Naidu in the main lead.
