While
it
is
becoming
more
and
more
obvious
that
Shahrukh
Khan's
home
production,
Om
Shanti
Om,
is
all
set
to
embark
on
a
historic
start
on
November
9,
the
actor
has
a
few
interesting
thoughts
to
share
with
his
audience,
regarding
the
70's
era,
which
forms
an
important
part
of
the
movie.
The
lead
artist
of
the
Farah
Khan
directed,
'Diwali'
week
extravaganza,
reveals
that
the
term
'Bollywood'
originated
due
to
the
psychedelic
70's,
a
very
nostalgic
and
evolutive
decade
/phase
for
the
Hindi
film
industry.
The
top
box-office
draw
laments
that
the
West
has
preconceived
notions
about
the
Hindi
film
industry,
and
the
general
belief
is
that
it
is
still
dominated
by
flaring
bell-bottoms,
extravagant
dance
numbers
and
exaggerated
acting.
Well,
King
Khan,
we
hope
that
after
Om
Shanti
Om,
some
of
these
misconceptions
will
cease
to
exist,
as
the
movie
showcases
the
past
and
present
era
of
Bollywood.
